That was a wonderful post! Thank you for sharing your process. I read a lot of DE blog myself and link them on my blog. I feel supported by all the women who have been through this before me. We are not disclosing the DE situation to anyone at this point, so your blogs and others are my lifeline. Thanks for taking time away from your little darling to post! :)

When we finally found out what was causing my miscarriages, I was 41. We decided at that point, that it was more important to have a healthy child, than a biological one. I didn't want to waste any more time, so we went DE. I grieved for the longest time...not that I have the greatest genes either (diabetes, obesity, depression), but I felt really ripped off. Now my triplets are 6 months old and I couldn't imagine having any other children. I feel like they're mine in every way. I don't even feel like a fraud anymore. Even when people comment on how much they look like me, I just smile and think, "of course!". I'm sure there will be times when I will feel that twinge, but for now, I just feel totally blessed.
