I saw that headline online somewhere this week - I think when I signed out of yahoo mail.

I thought they said last year that Pluto was no longer a planet. Until they make up their minds, which gives them a few years until Amelia is in school, I'm not going to worry about it - it's like eggs: this week they're good for you; last week they were bad for you. Whatever.

I think someone else missed the memo. Pluto was officially downgraded to "dwarf planet" which is what Eris is and around 40 other bodies in our solar system. The link below is from last year, but with all the hubbub and discussion that went on before deciding that Pluto should be downgraded, I doubt they would just casually change their mind.

Yes, the whole things has been new to me as well. And Pluto's status altogether confuses the hell out of me.

our planets multiplied? I guess I missed it too.

oh well, I would have learned that when the kids got in school ... in a few years! LOL.
