I had my little girl at 44 too, and I haven't had second thoughts. Not one time. Dealing with any other human being can be frustrating, and life is never perfect, so yes, my daughter and I have had our bad days. But my husband and I have those days too, and I wouldn't ever give a "thumbs down" to marriage or say that marriage is "not a good idea." Those comments were premeditated statements.
I know it's unfair to judge, but there are lots of us who would give anything -- anything -- for two beautiful babies. My dear, perhaps you should have considered a puppy first.
Yes, I'm still hurting. Pfft.
I'm sorry. I've been thinking about you.

I have a feeling the press took her comments out of context to write a story with this type of spin to it. Most of the time, I think the media gives people what they think they want to hear as well as be very inflammatory with what they know some people will definitely not want to hear. it sells, and most of the time, I don't think they cover exactly what was said.

Did you read the original article they are quoting? The Mail is hardly a bastion of accurate reporting, but it's massively more balanced than the one you linked to
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-2093948/Your-forties-time-thinking-getting-pregnant-Marcia-Cross-doesnt-want-poster-girl-older-mothers.html#ixzz1ljwFnTN3
in particular, where she says she doesn't recommend it, it's in response to a question about being a poster child, not about whether she regets her own motherhood.

Touche, Thalia, and shame on me. I'd seen the quotes in one article, and clicked through to the second, posting the link to the second article. I posted the second article because it discussed the over-50 pregnancy issue. You are correct, and my bad. I generally do always click through to everything but missed it this time. Apologies to Marcia.
